I can't stop thinking about the fact that @Wordpress (which “powers 31% of the internet”), is about to ship a massive overhaul of their interface without making sure that it's accessible. Why was #a11y not a blocker for every new feature, so nothing inaccessible was ever allowed?

To prevent my site from breaking, I've disabled auto updates. Yeah, too bad about security, but when you don't trust your vendor ...

Of course, I do perform updates manually, after confirming that the 5.0 site breaking update isn't the update in question. Not sure what I will do after that wrt security updates. Hold my breath until sanity returns to WP I guess, or go back to @drupal

I think I read they will also incorporate Gutenberg at some point. Difference is, WP seems hellbent on forcing on folks before they are ready. Apple gets away w/this (3in floppy, no floppy, no earphone jack, etc) but I don't think WP can. Or WP will fork, and that would be bad
