Web development is a sewer these days. Smells funky, looks funkier. I cannot sit by and watch the shit flow uphill. Perhaps the Trust I'm working on forming with my cousin (probably a non-profit org) should expand itself to include a WEB STANDARDS PROJECT RENEWED. Will you help?

Web Standards movement was a call for web browsers to follow the agreed standards. These days it’s about getting everybody else on board. Web frameworks should do better.

I would see that as a Task Force within the infrastructure. WaSP was NOT just about web browsers, by the way. I'm a little sad it's remembered that way, especially by such fine and involved designers as yourself. :(

Fair comment, indeed painting a polarised view does a disservice to the work the community did to understand and share how the web could used and how we should build it in an interoperable and inclusive way.
