The most common non-tech question I got on the floor of the Expo at #MSIgnite was about the "He/Him" pronoun button I wore on my lanyard from the Diversity & Inclusion pre-day event. I was really happy to generate some discussions just by wearing it.

I am a middle-aged white guy who ends up working with a lot of other middle-aged men because that is what tech is in 2018. Pretty sure many of them thought it was ironic or a joke. I got to express that I was serious about it. Hopefully, coming from me, it was harder to dismiss.

Bullshit. Under-representation of everyone other than white males in tech. Get your facts in order before making remarks that apply to you not necessarily women and gender variants in technology.
