Who is working on color management?

I do know other folks within the browser companies that could help - what's your concern if I may ask, and is it with both browsers or back to the browser-to-print color conversion conversation? That was a proposal from Håkon Wium Lie and the @csswg going on quite some years ago.

Actually, color management is critical to the display of color spaces, other than sRGB. Hardware has advanced, but not software. HDR movies is a separate issue. Digital photography has far out paced the browser's ability to correctly display them.

I know this not from the perspective of a student of color but from the video DRM problems and h.264 which is a standard but not a standard for Web. Alternatives like ogg really didn't get much of a chance. Too much lucre to be made once broadband reached critical mass alas alas!

I remember the days when Gopher dominated, images were downloaded via FTP. Now, Websites, such as 500px, offer images in wide gamut formats. However, you must download the image. Android apps may take the place of the Web browser for wide gamut images.
