Me too! I ordered some cheap modeling clay to play around with just for that reason. We'll see what happens. It's an incredibly therapeutic process for me and for that I'm very grateful and have a lot of fun with it too!

I’d love to get back into painting. But like make just tactile big white things... trying to figure the best way to do that. Canvas with gypsum? A board with clay? Something that will still be light and won’t ideally need burning.

There's also really colorful children's modeling clay you can buy on the cheap and have at it. See how it goes for you and if you enjoy it you can always improve the quality of your tools!

i'd love something I could just get a nice 10 or 20lb box for free, mix with water as needed and then experiment. won't mind if it gets messy as I could always mix it in the back yard...

I totally recommend checking eBay. Amazon as well can sometimes have sellers that carry a low cost mix you could work with at your own pace. I never mind getting messy while playing in the sandbox. There are showers and baths even in The Mojave for exactly that reason LOL!
