The internet and web have moved rather quickly and as such I think we end up with a lot of Mythology and a lot of unverifiable commentary because everybody gets sloppy even the best. I've heard various contributors to both use the terms interchangeably. Knowing they are not!

The person who is considered to be the most prominent figure in the invention of the internet and is referred to as its father frequently is Vint Cerf, who has defended Gore vehemently because of his contributions and initiatives. Many have acknowledged Gore for his work.

Interestingly, Al Gore did take initiative for funding and political initiatives that led to the growth and promotion of the internet and the World Wide Web. In context for a politician the word initiative takes on a specific meaning. No single person invented internet or www.

Al Gore to Wolf Blitzer in 1999 "I took the initiative in creating the internet" immediately elicited ridicule from Republicans and many jokes from comedians. Bill Clinton jumped into the comedic Fray with a quip of his own that did use the words Al Gore invented the internet.

Darn it just when I want to have an emoji that's laughing all I have is a Twitter heart that was really funny! I guess I have to love it before I have to laugh at it though here on Twitter at least.
Whose presidential campaign was the source of these exact words “ Al Gore invented the internet" If you look it up may your internet immediately cease to function. 😉

No! It can't be. writers are weirdos? I thought they were the Cool Kids on that Block! 😁
From across the hall of Ev, Biz and a younger Jack Dorsey described Jack as an emo kid. So @toddlibby decided to describe him since Elon rattled the Twitter cage. "he looks like some yogi leading a death cult from some remote island like a badly-written Bond villain."

And that would be flown in fresh to the middle of a desert that's in a drought for 27 years and has no water left by whom one must wonder?

It's called way to make a new proprietary "med" using old generic known to be addictive and harmful crap. The Pharma Bros in USA love that profit so much! The actual, living human beings who buy it? Not at all.

Well, his motivation for FB in the first place pretty much says it all ;-) And please, don't insult the androids, they're better looking and more humanitarian.

Amazed she found more than one person in a union in Arizona which is what is known as a "right to work" state which has nothing to do with a right to have a job. It's a tactic to get cheapest labor and in any border state let's be very clear we import humans and then export them.
Proud to join other AZ candidates + elected officials this morning at the @ArizonaAFLCIO #LaborDay breakfast to support our hardworking men & women who are the backbone of our great state. We appreciate you every day & support you always. #UnionStrong

Zuckerberg is complaining. social media is not really meant for content creation rather 'relationship building' says he. I guess he means relationship with advertisers? Not friendship or community Twitter is better for that imo. FB extends and renews relationships. What say you?
