That would simply be projecting sympathy otherwise empathy is actually feeling the pain not a projection and recognition that is sympathy

The DSM is written by a small group of people who vote by hand on conditions defined only by observed pattern and opinion. It has expanded exponentially since version 1 in 1958 which considered homosexuality a mental disease and suggested treatments so heinous it's unspeakable.

Even more important as some chronic and terminal patients will never be well is to never cause iatrogenic disease. And that's what they do. Every damn day.

I love that. I could have stuck with doctors that would never have taken me off of them I made a decision to decouple my life from the entire Healthcare System. I'm not winning. I guess I still have resources they can take away so they want to try.

LOL that's funny three new stupid potential additions are patients who Google their condition and treatments are obsessive, hyper empathy as feeling the suffering of the world and individuals is irrational, persistent grief because grief apparently has an expiration date. SMH!

I sure have studied a lot about tapering but I think it's highly individualistic as well as longevity of use, tolerance, which benzos, what dosages. Symptoms of panic are not too bad but 8 days in I had two tonic clonic seizures and I am more worried about those. For good reason.

Another insult to injury rampant in healthcare is the idea that no patient is equal to the health care provider much less more educated much less have higher education or be more intelligent both of which I am than the vast majority of people who have treated me. So insulting.

Yes absolutely and not just that but actually the quality of medical education in the United States has been in Decline they do not teach Medical Science they teach I don't know what they teach a lot of bullshit. If a patient is more educated than their MD that's very disturbing.

Often I'm confused at the concept of building or teaching or learning how to be empathetic. I think empathy is something that is native to individuals you can learn how to pretend to be empathetic but to actually feel another person's pain as your own? That's an assumption.
In this workbook, you’ll learn tips for developing #empathy as a #leadership skill — a skill critical to strengthening relationships with your employees. bit.ly/3ojI2tN

I have to agree and I also have to say that their education is useless and where they get their information on medication is usually through the pharmaceutical companies and representatives who are called into the office before the patient. I see that I get verbally loud and rude

I've always wanted to see the end of human classification systems so ridiculous they harm us by intentionally dividing not unifying the human species.
Your story is as awful as any and I just have so much compassion and empathy I see people far worse off than me and it's just so tragic that other humans do this whether by ignorance, lack of empathy, greed, and sometimes sadistic and malicious intent to purposely hurt others.

The VA is 92 today. A terribly underfunded agency working to help veterans who have served to protect the most privileged by coercion, draft, or choice. our military is filled with poor, ethnic, often not well educated young people we maim, harm and kill believing it righteous.
Originally known as the Veterans Administration, The @DeptVetAffairs turns 92 today! Thank you to the millions of employees and #Veterans that have served our nation and its VA facilities for nearly a century!#WorkAtVA and help us continue the legacy today:bit.ly/3kzyXft

It's criminal and it's even more criminal as malpractice attorneys , lawsuits difficult and time consuming. Even worse? The US statute of limitations on malpractice is only 6 months. Patients rarely know until much later! It can be appealed. For more money and more time spent.

There's a long tail problem with medical records. I do not have MDD. I do not have clinical panic disorder I do not have clinical anxiety. I display subclinical mood swings, hyperactive hyperfocused. I do have severe complex trauma, atypical rumination, and trichotillomania.

She prescribed them I'm not taking them. I have been on 47 Pharmaceuticals for this. 2 worked. the Red Cell stimulant EPO and the white cell stimulant neupogen. Whole blood and irradiated platelet transfusions. Our conditions are difficult enough. The suffering caused? Criminal.

I would not hesitate to buy illegal Xanax which is everywhere in Tucson but guess what they contain little to no benzodiazepine and are actually Fentanyl. This is a medical, pharmaceutical, and social disaster, negligent form of assault and even homicide. We call this Healthcare.

The tragedy is my story is one of countless and even worse others. Healthcare professionals are turning their backs on us. I have no suicidal ideation, no self- harm, platelets and neutrophils improved since off of Prozac and Seroquel. Was 235 lb now 125. Who is crazy here?
