I wish we could always be our best as humans. I wish we could achieve one day without violence or War. I know I will not live to see that day. So I face myself every morning and every night. I speak aloud my wrongdoings. I speak aloud my gratitude and love. I know no other way.

The most unique aspect of humans is the ability to be simultaneously brutal and filled with great empathy. I have received both. I am ashamed of my cruelty. And I am so grateful for your generosity, kindness, empathy for helping when I was sick, enraged, traumatized, self-hating.

I choose non-violence. I have never raised my hand to another human being even in self-defense. Abused in every way since childhood I still valued all lives. I cannot maintain hatred but I no longer value the lives of militaristic despotic genocidal humans. I want them gone.

All I personally can hope is to live as peacefully as possible, stay away from violence, and enjoy the natural beauty of this land before my own demise. I have accepted that we are a very sick state, humanity is brutal, and that no lives matter. If they did, we'd value all lives.

Arizona's primary will likely see Trump backed GOP wins everywhere. With that happening expect the current border violence, poverty, ecological decline, and corruption to become the worst this nation will have ever seen. The world needs to watch and learn. tucsonsentinel.com/local/rep…

"Accessibility First Development." It addresses screen readers and so much more. There are many resources and advocates of #a11y practices. a great place to start is to learn the W3C web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG). 2.1 is here 3.0 underway. w3.org/TR/2018/REC-WCAG21-20…

Excellent advocacy work and well delivered talk by Bruce Lawson @brucel with a fist in a face of Apple Safari for practices that are facilitating an almost complete browser rendering engine monoculture of chromium core. youtube.com/iWZX-zqBeRQ

To link what is a global problem and make it the "fault" of the USA right wing is not just illogical, it's insulting to those of us who live in the USA and are doing the same work to turn this nonsense we've dealt with for far too long around. And WE PAY for the insult! :(

If I knew I were helping build weapons or harm humans rather than inform, I'd not have done those jobs. I have a friend who left a high level mechanical engineering position here for Hughs as she felt wrong. I think it's very personal, can be done ethically, and if it isn't, go!
“no ethical consumption under capitalism” I totally get it I just feel like working at Lockheed Martin should be a hard line???

I get it too. And people are complicated. I contracted for intelligence, for the National Labs including Los Alamos, Sandia, SLAC, PNNL, Lawrence Livermore. I spoke and trained at "langley" it was freaky and kind of awesome too. Public trust security - tourist ;-)

That's a high functioning problem solver at work. You're looking atangles thinking about all possibilities, it's not about them. It makes others uncomfortable as they are misperceiving your intent. Maybe we should try to preface our Socratic challenges? It's not my natural way :)

The term is iatrogenic. Meaning your disorder was caused by the interference of medical professionals and or surgery and or pharmaceutical or other treatments or all of the above. If they say idiopathic it means they don't know. If they say brain chemistry they really don't know!
There used to be a joke in Psychiatry about how they were lucky cuz they didn't have to touch their patients.
