That makes sense when we have control over our choices in a given situation. But I've never known anybody to reverse two terminal diagnoses. I'm doing the best I can surviving as long as I can and that's about the best I can do. Any advice for that?

For deep and abiding relationships it seems most natural to me to ensure the person knows they were loved, cared for and that it is okay when they are ready to let go. It is their right. My husband wouldn't rest at his end until l reassured him these things, and sang him to rest.

If we think about it, social networks like Twitter are the nextgen form of forums, which to us greybeard oldsters is reminiscent of forums from BBSs (and 300 baud modems lol) ;-)

You're right, Viet. It can be both according to experience and research in this area. Some experience deficit, but many have the hyperfocus type. When applied well, it can make a person with ADHD very productive!

Very kind to include me, Benjamin. It's like the old days with that list, at least for old me ;-)

Not Koi, who back then appeared tall to me. I shrank a lot, lived on the corner-ish of Las Vegas Blvd and Sahara since then, but Koi remains tall despite any proportion defects I might have - real or imagined. :)

My first WTF moment regarding what became JavaScript was that Java (and applets, ffs, remember?) was the packaging of the two media-wise. Java was mostly valuable for interop back in the day. JavaScript itself (not frameworks but 'vanilla' aka real) proved to facilitate interop.
LOLing at the 'bag' - well played otherwise dear Ian :P
To my eyes and in my heart there is only one Kazuhito and I will know it's you. Every time :)

No way! I would know if it were @kazuhito - a wonderful man not easy to forget. (You're in that tribe, shhh...) ;-) Honestly, I do not know who it is!

People say what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I say what doesn't kill us can make us weak ass victims. I fight. I flee. I rarely froze until 2016. Not just because of my own demise. Do the math. USA style. AKA I intend to see better days for us all. xo/,m

I found this aging photo gem of five speakers in the Web design and development world of yesteryear. Name the people in the pic . . . even I don't know who one of them is 😆 and . . . Go!!! #Webdesign #Webdev #UX #HTML #CSS #SaturdayFun

I feel our community has been very fragmented and I know my challenges don't help. But I am alone with great needs that are simply unmet and am not fending for myself. I used to feel part of a community, I think I was very naive in the end. So your kindness moves me

You're such a good hearted soul, Jason. Thank you. It means so much to be remembered and cared about. I am very isolated and just knowing someone cares means the world.
