Unnecessary? This isn't actually #HTML. We don't nest a block element into an inline element. Ans, the anchor element IS the defining aspect of #HTML and the #www. Where are people learning this crazy stuff? It pains me! #100DaysOfCode#100Devs#webdevelopment#webdesign#a11y
When I see an anchor link <a href="...">...</a> I think to myself, "What a simple way to get a hyperlink on a page." Today I found a page chock full of <a href="..."><div>example text</div></a>. I know it's not a failure, it works, blah blah blah. It's unnecessary though, to me.
Know the code. Know your languages, but understand what our code is as a developer we have responsibilities to the web if we are developing for it. Know the ethical code as well as the literal.
Because they don't want to do it themselves they just do not like it or they don't have the time or add your reason here. If it gives jobs 2 other people why not?
I know the feeling. And I remembered that we are alive despite a pandemic, war, oppressive governments. I also work to remember we are, though apart and fragmented, a community. Rest, time, friends. ❤️
