There's a quote I'm probably paraphrasing along the lines of fall down seven times get up eight. I like that.

Courage can be quiet it can also be loud it just depends on the circumstances and the individual. When people see me at my worst they think me vulnerable and weak when reality is I have surmounted so much. My husband was quiet but his courage was stronger than anybody I've known.

I'm glad my post triggered a good thinking point for you see what I did there? LOL
It's great to know I'm not the only woman who thinks this way LOL I know I'm not but people find it strange especially because the only people in my family that ever used weapons were military or police.

These days? Many developers have been self-taught throughout history. And in the case of web development there's no standardized education. This has led to significant confusion and difficulty in maintaining good practices in any job much less when we move from job to job

This sickens me. I feel very fortunate that I had a mother who was a professor and encouraged reading to the point where we had a lot of books in the house and if we could reach the book on the shelf and do it without bothering her, we kids could read any book we wanted.

It is meditative. I think that's why I like simple rifles or shotguns and firing at Targets responsibly. It is very cathartic and I walk away feeling better and having harmed no one.

Again we definitely agree strongly that we must get around this split it's false and it harms. I also don't think general medicine is very weak. They don't teach differential diagnosis and they don't advocate for patients. Nowadays most MD's don't do manual exams. They miss a lot

Exactly. Look at the harm and stigma that comes with that you don't get treated and people will tell you to just deal with it. Stress itself is deadly! Long term stress injures us and is the cause of many major problems which can and often does lead to death. We know so little.

Very cool! I've been thinking about picking it up again. I'm not sure I'd be very good right now because of a problem with my hands it's treatable but required surgery and isn't a priority.

We have to it was a huge mistake the mind-body problem is a man-made construct there is no problem we are whole beings. If something is thought to be mental doctors stop looking. Recently when they treated hepatic encephalopathy my cognition improved and depression went away.

Publishing erotica absolutely counts! Interesting that you were a competitive Archer also. I loved it I wouldn't know what to do with today's complex bows.

People will always stigmatize something. We have separated the human into mind and body which is a falsehood. How is mental Health separate from physical health? This is a very dangerous idea for many reasons and the stigma causes suffering 2 people already suffering.

What interests do you think people would be surprised to hear you do or have done?. For me competitive archery, trained for Junior Olympic gymnastics team, and for a left left left of liberal and hate violence I like guns, knives, I even have my husband's very real katana sword.

You're an incredible shape I I'm always impressed by your athleticism. My mother was that way but we do come from a family where a lot of us did not move much. I do yoga. I'm 59 and can comfortably sit with both ankles behind my head. Sometimes I just do it too freak people out!

We humans really have some ideas that don't make sense to me. Money does not define power. Stoicism and stiff upper lips don't define courage. I want my skeletons out of the closet. I want to talk about the elephant in the room. Truly strong people know they are also vulnerable.

I think there are many people like this but when we speak up people attack us as if we're somehow damaged. Spending a lifetime focused on one thing is so limiting.
