Broadcasting? In 1993? I could use more detail. As for radio, the Internet and the Radio evolved almost identicaally - it's fascinating!

I have that feeling rarely, and less as time goes on and as for hope, I cannot indulge personal hopes beyond a very few (I have a total of four) but I do keep hope for others. I remain an idealist, am not a pessmimist, I lost my once very strong optimism. What's left but realism?

A factor for some, THE factor I feel more every day. And if we "others" leave the building, who remains behind and what becomes of technology much less humanity? It's downright limbic. Fight, freeze or flee. Diversity a factor in tech exodus linkedin.com/news/story/dive…

Yes! That was what I thought, and I'm working on this issue myself in re webdev - the Web imo needs far more human projects that empower and help the many, rather than what we're becoming. We can help redistribute goods, services, education, helping, not tearing each other apart.

Wow that's a flashback AOL browser. What a pain in the ass that was. I was on the other side of the story I was working on the proprietary MSN before it went to the web and then we transitioned it to the web for MSN browser AKA IE3. Mercy was CSS a new frontier at that point!

Of many awful things these past decades, human identity is expanding and for that, I rejoice! GO Bucharest, we are proud and grateful to all who bring about inclusion and hope! 🕊️ Thousands march in Bucharest LGBTQ pride parade reuters.com/world/europe/tho…

When I came to the Web in 1993, ease of use, #a11y, simpliciity, distriibution of language, it was the first year of my life I felt part of something meaningful, I was enabled and even cared about. Now, I can barely afford it, see it, use it, or admire it. I am truly heartbroken.

Another #a11y user hurdle are GDPR pop ups for user protection and #security and user help. Sure. They're text, stored locally free of viruses or malware, and removable. But, they are hijackable. An average hacker can then access any saved session data with malice aforethought.

I was in a science fair in 1967 where all the talk was about how within the decade we would all be using TV based telephones. This sent me on a Sentimental trip down dialing that zero and listening it to go all the way back on the Rotary and how much I like that:-)
