I'd agree with the "not about" us in "just us" - it's a lot of factors. But we did land a steamy mess on backward compat, iterop, -- stuff the Web was meant to mitigate at best... :)

I think you're not the one missing the point in this scenario at all. I think I laughed because it was so far out of any professional expectation, I went for the least dangerous response!

I can't do this stuff anymore. A nurse practitioner I've seen one time said I made her uncomfortable"I'm not used to being spoken to as if I were a peer to a patient." I did not mean to laugh but that's what came out not because I thought it was funny. For once in my life I left.

Had we learned and implemented style sheets well, especially the Cascade and the original use of the !important declaration the answer would be user style sheet. I fully Sarah's assessment for today's real #a11y priorities. Not preference really. Dark mode compromises my vision.
@mholzschlag how do you feel about this from an #a11y predictive? I'm for more standardized approaches users are used than efficacy e.g Qwerty vs Dvorak etc

Yes, along with cryptocurrency issues. Human footprint is too small a description for ecoological disasters. Perhaps Brogdegnagian Burden is better? 😀

For Web? All of them. Although, a top-flight group of web folks in the early 2000's redesigned Jakob Nielssen's sitee. Had he cared, he'd have had what is now likely one of several of the world's 'best' as his UI/UX designer. We all make choices :)

And as if, if not more brutal? What that "progress" has done to and with our native american indians (I wrote it, so can you :)). Poverty, alcoholism, isolation, separatism, forced conversions, assimilation, normalization. You know, just another day in the USA. Sounds very good.

I like the term social apatheist. Unless purposefully talking about God or not God as we are in this moment, these discussions in multicultural environs can be a precursor to violence, separatism, genocide. Why mythology appears to comfort folks more than fact really confuses me.

Is there some way to force a permanent change in recommended people to follow? I keep seeing the same recommendations of people who long ago stopped caring about me and I really don't need to see the reminders so could you fix that for me somebody thanks.

My husband was part Comanche! I imagine he would have enjoyed this book so I'm going to read it both for me and for him! Thank you for the recommendation.
