“I wish I hadn't cried so much!” said Alice, as she swam about, trying to find her way out. I shall be punished for it now, I suppose, by being drowned in my own tears!” ― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Tech time outs leave me feeling as if social media is not Community but media just media and I sometimes find it more destructive than constructive these days. Sick of people hurting each other sick of people hurting me sick of me hurting others just sick.

I did appreciate the expression and diversity. I was in a horrible time with death of husband in Feb 2017, then Mom on Oct 1 right before heard every shot and scream echo into Vegas gone silent. I enjoyed visiting, hated my time living there. Too much trauma related to it now.

Yeah there is no Health nor is there care. And everything is for profit which is why it was awful I could not stay there and take money from dying people it was just despicable. I forget how I got the job but I only lasted a couple of weeks.

Ha! Awesome and weird. I had a boyfriend who cleaned up murder scenes. My weirdest job had to be collecting money from patients in hospital for their television service when I was like 14. Weird and awful.

That's fascinating - In UK? I'd love to hear the top 3 (at least) of your weirdest. :)

Very interesting and definitely unique! Las Vegas, huh? Two years there to be with Mom during her illness. I hated living there for so many reasons. Are you native? If not, what brought you there?

That is to me far more cool than weird, although as a feline lover I suspect your human bosses and you served a feline by design, as they rule us and the internet ;-)

Play time! What is the weirdest job or profession in your family? Me: Abbey Funeral Chapel here in Tucson was built by my mom's brother's wife in 1969 and many of my relatives worked there. Still family owed. Saw things there I can't unsee! SO weird. !abbeyfc.com/

My heart goes out to you and fam. A dear friend lost his father in December from Covid and it is just so heartbreaking. Love each other, and reach out to those of us who empathize. It can help with the awful :( peace and comfort always.

It didn't stop at the evening...the fun continues! May it continue for all our days, and beyond. Life deals us all enough darkness as it is, every bit of laughter and joy shared is welcome and needed. That, and temporary hair color ;-)

HA! If we were not connected by blood I would want you as part of my core family. That your father and my mom were cousins who adored one another as well makes for a legacy of great joy to me. I lift a non-alcoholic glass with you. L'Chaim!

Thank you so much Tim. I often joke how my first album was produced by kept in the dark Productions and the one with courage sisters was produced by the very Phil here at his Crash Landing Studios so I was kept in the dark and then we crash- landed right into the World Wide Web.

As of yesterday a.m. I started to feel awful. Part storm pressure, and now this Complete Blood Count. Yes, the image has alt text. If you don't know blood medicine, I'll sum it up: Very bad. Explains my pain & shitty mood. Epoetin, filgrastim, irradiated platelets to come. Whee.

I was not kidding because obscuring the fact alt text is there is something I did not know. I apologize, I wasn't snarking at you Dan but what I should see but cannot. #ShakesFistAtTwits

Low-effort indeed. A "javascript tip" presented as code on an image. No alt attribute and value to be found. Exactly as accessible and useful as most of the low-effort Web. #a11y #alt #altText #image #descriptiveText #SaveTheUser Please and thanks!

Another issue that factors in to anti-intellecutalism is that people believe money is power. The other value system is that knowledge is power. I was raised and continue to choose knowledge as power. Knowledge gives us many choices and definitions of power. Money gives only one.
