True that. Not stressed, just differnt focus, I'm retired. I love meaning and banter but Web-wise I'm a historic relic and if I do Web, it's history. Semantics for me now is Linguistic meaning, not specific to HTML/CSS unless it's retrospective or literally about real meaning.

That's wild. I had a friend now gone who moved here from NYC and his next door neighbor grew up in NYC in the next building but they'd never met! Wild :)

"no semantic meaning" - I'm not raising a conflict here at all, forgive me, but semantics means meaning and h2 has meaning in hierarchical headings both for structure and also #a11y. Please no conflict on my thread, I make enough on my own ;-)

Wow! I want to say "small world" but it seems awful small these days as it is ;-) We have some interesting New Jersey overlap!

Yep! Was Newark State then too! It's been a long time since I've thought about this. Both of my brothers got their B.A.s at Rutgers. My M.A. was The New School for Social Research in NY, undergrad here. At that time my mom was teaching English, so they could have crossed paths.

Union? My mother was a professor at Kean College (now Kean University) for 35 years, and I used to go see Rocky Horror Show (I'm old heh) at the theater there. I first saw Bruce at a house party. He was sitting behind a door on the floor playing acoustic in the 80s. He was an ass

Seaside Heights, Belmar, Asbury, Atlantic City... when people say "down TO the shore" it's a dead giveaway they aren't authentic Jersey ;) Of course I have to ask "what exit?" I think I was near 138 GSP. Maplewood/South Orange but lived in Somerset, East Brunswick, Livingston

Sadly, there are factions that just want permission to rage. They are with us always, worldwide. And Trump's message while inciteful from day 1 is just a unifying force. Hatred, racism, violence and rage all remain.
I do feel pity. Compassion, only for any children or innocent family of the many deaths throughout this regime.

Willfull ignorance worn like a badge of honor. No value or respect for education especially math and science. Not a lot of brain power in general, or if so, not exercised - all contributing factors. :(

Breaking (and funny): Trump will not attend Biden's inauguration. I'm sure he's fine with that. I am too. And giggling at the memory of John McCain refusing to let any Trump to attend his funeral. Thought for sure DJT would disrupt it as he was furious at JMs thumbs down re ACA!

Very kind, but let's just quote what some say "Too smart for your own good." "Think too much" "Hyperanalytical" "Workaholic" I'm a bit of a Sheldon Cooper with more charm haha

The Capitol officer murdered by an insurgent with a fire extiguisher was reported oddly. The news broke, was retracted, then later confirmed. Pics from other states show police in body armor staggered by step. Breaches could be tactically blocked by level. Not all loosey goosey.

She also was also impressed by The English "Proper" way of being. I had to laugh at that too. I was like, one beer, and it's fuck this fuck that just like New York/New Jersey Ha! She went a few times later on. Her main complaint was the food until finding an Indian restaurant.

A non-linear aside - I worked with the BBC quite a few times both White City and once in the lil' office in Brighton. My mother, enamoured of BBC TV shows, had not yet visited England and was so excited "Is it everything I imagine?" I laughed, mostly cuz: White City ;)

Failed to uphold student civil rights. Hated public schools, wanted to privatize for profit, proposed massive cuts to DOE, wanted to reduce/eliminate support for disabled kids, tried to social engineer charter schools. Good Riddance!
