In 1997 I was teaching a college intro to Web Design (tables much haha) at Pima College here. A young man said "what about hate groups, doesn't that bother you?" My response then is my response now. I'd rather have my enemies in front of me than behind me. I'm with you Dan.

Well well well I'm not the only one thinking what I'm thinking. Talk about forgotten victims of this Maniacs regime. That go back to Israel comment was just go back to Africa for those Jews who are actually Israeli by descent many of us are not. Don't they still teach history?

I'm very happy to see your tweets I have been struggling with this for a few reasons. A friend lamented over a pic from TN last week. "how quickly we forget". True. But no mention of the Jews that got shot at shul. Go back to Israel? I'm Persian Jew. Do I have to go to Iran? SMH
I believe that statistically speaking Jews are 14 million people out of 7.8 billion humans walking the Earth yet have endured more violence, roundups and hate crimes then any known group in history. And I'm supposed to identify as white? I'm sorry I can't relate. Forever other.

Well, when we are taught lies, we live them too. Edison didn't invent the light bulb, Franklink didn't discover electricity, "First Do No Harm" never appears in the Hippocratic oath (original or Tuft's) and on and on. We don't educate. Maybe DeVos's exit is a harbinger of better.
January 6th events scared the crap out of our legislators as well as just about everyone. I thought it would be worst. I think we have to understand that this is not new. It's been with us for most of history, just not so exposed and overt. Trump has set a terrible precedence.

Sad about the losses of course, but otherwise a cool mix there Tanny! I did not know that. I was raised by two heritage Jews who were atheists. My dad had a lot of Sephardic as well as some Ashkenazi via the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Mom was Polish and Czech. Evil stepass here too

Here in Tucson I've had terrible luck. It was better in Las Vegas. But again, I'm a persian jew. We are hated everywhere, and make up a very very small minority of Jews and my ideals don't jive with most. I will look into the orgs, but frankly, leaning into Judaism? Done it. Thx!
I don't want to be color and culture "blind." it is the flavor and rainbow of life that thrills and fills me. That is the nation I thought I was seeing emerge out of our ugly past. I was wrong. I hope we course correct. In the meantime, I want to find how to cope. Thank you xo/m
