Remember that we can't describe predictable human feelings to certain personality types. They have no capacity. It is highly likely that in his mind he will never lose and he is fixated on that and that's why he's so obsessive about keeping the job not because he needs it
Some do I suppose. I've never been a capitalist or a materialist or interested in possession or large houses and high end cars and any of that. I am interested in quality of life for all including myself. Education. Self learning. Helping others. Taking care of my home Etc
If my response wasn't clear I was speaking specifically about my own experience in the context of your comment. Self hatred is common across all human lines.
I agree with you completely in fact I have a huge issue about the fact that everybody talks about the Holocaust and the Six Million Jews. But there were many many more people and types of people that were murdered and we rarely talk of that.
I think but cannot prove that along with complacency came incredible amount of privilege for a certain demographic in this nation leaving them with no work ethic and no education and no desire to pursue either much less responsibility toward community and each other.
You did nail My Funny Bone there I have always said we've been too complacent and that that is part of the problem look how long we went without any real protester upheaval from the moment we started a war in Afghanistan nearly 20 years ago not to mention Iraq.
I'm sorry I'm very tired of course they're all understood stressed but I think what I was trying to say it isn't even in their minds but it's hardwired into many people in this nation as being part of the u.s. is ethic when it's the opposite! It's a historic subconscious divide.
I think that's absolutely true and it's still does hearken back to the privilege that was in their mindset to begin with. Men dominate women stay home and look pretty in their minds. Or maybe I'm completely missing the point which is possible because I'm tired. If I'm wrong LMK!
This is why I ended up leaning neuroscience which follows the scientific method. A psychiatrist sees a sad person, prescribes an antidepressant without any tests beyond a conversation. There have been at least 72 mass murders implicating antidepressants especially Prozac.
Psychology in the US is about talk therapy almost exclusively. Psychiatry in this country is a front for pharmaceutical companies. There used to be an old joke that psychiatrists never examine their patients for medical signs. sadly most doctors no longer do either.
Well, they based their work on theory. Not science. Mind is made up of two theories. Then Rene Descartes separated theory of Mind from the reality of the body creating the mind-body split. The Cartesian duality. He was a mathematician and a philosopher and piss poor at both.
It's nearly 5 in the morning but I'm a vampire. I need blood I like to hang upside down and I stay up all night but I am getting tired and foggy so I think I am going to say good night this has been a wonderful talk it's great to know you here's to more!... and, Better Days
I call that white collar psychopathy. It's a known issue. Corporate capitalists often think they have to be ruthless if they're going to be at the top of such massive companies meaning they step over everyone to get where they want to go no empathy, no guilt, no care
In that way the southwest and Southern California are very similar to you. We have a lot of sunshine we have a lot of wind. What Arizona doesn't have though is water and if we get in trouble getting water a lot of lives will be lost.
That's exactly my point thank you for understanding cuz I'm getting a little tired and might not be as clear but this hunger for fossil fuels is ridiculous and it is destroying our world. Fracking here has been a disaster
Real power is thought to be stoic and staid tough and big there's no emotion attached. The opposite May well be true that vulnerability and the ability to allow yourself to be vulnerable is actually a better description of power.
We learn that the love of money is the root of all evil and again with my semantics hat on money itself when you think about it is really nothing. We used to have a gold standard but there is nothing now behind money except perception. Power entwine with money in Theory.
Ethics however are more Universal. I prefer that word. Also having empathy, a conscience, a reverence for life and other people, all these things factor in to the way a person evolves or does not evolve.
Well I would put my semantics hat on and argue about the idea of morals. Morality if you think about it is always contextual and biased. If you take two people from different religions and put them in a room and made them list out their morality you have two different lists.
