the best we can do is empathize and be supportive. Loss of any love is devastating no matter what age yes it's a certain Comfort they lived a good life doesn't stop our pain. Please don't compare pain. It isn't logical. Nor is it helpful. Share. Love. Care

one of the chapters is called share don't compare. It spoke directly to this issue my pain can't be as bad as your pain. I've heard this a million times in my life and I know that it's incomparable you cannot feel what I feel and I cannot feel what you feel completely.

It's gonna be such a great day for American Jews when Trump's new bill passes and takes away the Social Security Disability, Medicaid and related programs! Because Jews like me go to Israel, where there's a functioning economy, desert, ocean, high tech, and excellent healthcare!

So true. And, people do widen and change. It's what she wants and yet it's hurting you to hurt her. I don't want anyone hurt when clearly the love is true.
Do you explain it? I understand. I kept my father's name despite everyone else changing it to my Mom's. I kept it after marriage too. If she's hurt, What about another motherly type nickname she might like that would not cause you pain?
