Such superstitions of old both in the Sephardic and Ashkenazic sides of my grandparents, all immigrants pre WWWII (possibly why all names spelled right, less people at Ellis Island). Atheist parents but the sayings and rituals remain. Mom taught me and said it bested hers, yikes!

ARGGGGH. I bled from 1967 to 2013. Nose, gums, heavy menses. Only one CBC was abnormal - a hemmorhagic ovarian cyst. Resolved. Tested every 3 months, PCP never informed me of low platelets or white cells til 2012 "we'll watch". Bone marrow fail. Oncologist freaked, went to work.

Again, 98% since mid 20s of all medical professionals from docs to EMTs who do not understand basic medical terms despite the rarity of my condition and related from falls, seizures, like you - or start person-splaining, I leave. If they don't respect I won't let them treat me.

Seen one dead guy, seen 'em all. All. Lives. Do. Not. Matter. Proof right here. Era of sadism.

Building insurers or? Actuaries tend toward profit not people. This is gov and law. I'd look in Lexis/Nexis but predatory profit off of public records is criminal as historical archives are meant to be free to all as all information should be free. Ah, makes me miss Arron :( .
My interest in human extremes started with not me but to help my family. Read the 1973 DSM, Mercks - anything found in libraries. MICROFICHE! 1973 DSM depathologized homosexuality. Were you drawn to study and work with what you wanted to understand in others and/or yourself?

If anyone knows good ways to find historic law and real estate letters, articles and docs not on Web in NYC - Manhattan and Queens mom's dad Maurice Krotenberg fought and won as an alderman against Fred Christ Trump, LaGuardia, Rockefeller. That's a story worth telling alrighty!

When people think of me, it must be hard to realize just how outside convention my whole family legacy (waves to Franz Kafka) is. Crazy with color. I'm low key and mellow. In comparison. And never raised a hand in violence or defense. One brother did, but has transformed himself.

My father was wilder, messier, I'm more like he was. He went to Stuyvestant - math, science, sci-fi, comic heroes and an edge walker. Beatles, Doors, Leonard Cohen, Mexican Shaman Trips, Havana, Cigars, Gambler (Horses), Vending Machine Mafia. Teamsters. But his brain broke hard.

When I think of blogging again, I'm drawn a lot to my wonderful awful genius family. Mom was at New York University - Greenwich Village Bohemians (Snap snap). Jack Kerouac king of beat would show. She had a mad crush on him. Ended up in a college affair with his sister Caroline!

I can play ukulele but make them? Very cool. I met a neighbor bringing in two guitars. Friendly guy, asked if that was all. I had 3 this run. He says "I have 4!" Asked about his music "Jazz stuff, but I kinda suck." Jazz guitar is skillz and 4 implies not sucking. Covid Jam time!

Ah, Yiddish origin :) "Keinehora" - frequently used. My parents spoke Yiddish especially when around us kids but we figured it out, as kids always do!

Scarily so at times. My Mom had an expression "Don't give it a canary" as in don't jinx it (unsure origin but "Canary in a coal mine" seems likely). I suspect I'm part canary :)

soon, it was a happy exhausting. I have had a no furniture night and a dead car battery. Kitty did awesome - adaptation FTW! :)

The other day a friend liked a post asking if I could have a blue facemask instead of a Blue Beanie for Web Standards. My post was from 2014. 😮

I piss most off because I correct them on their mistakes. I don't practice on folks, I study and read. Oh, the battle stories! Exceptions now are my oncologist and primary care. Oncologist is world class and lovely. PC uses a live scribe (telehealth recording now). Also, honest.

Typical and cold :/ The fascinating part is you were cogent, as was I. I am also a multiphasic sleeper. 2-4 hours. Any more than 6 and I am likely very sick. People are different but checklist, charts, clipboards aren't. Healthcare is not science. "My pain is a 7" is meaningless.

False science, broken vows, liars, deniers, terrorists ---genocidal at worst, felons at best. I am here, witness and victim of these terrorists.

It appears to be genetic in origin, but green eyed red/Auburn haired women especially have frustrated anasthesiologists for a very long time. 7 surgeries, woke up every time. Once quipped 'sure this isn't the morgue?' - Surgical suites are freezing!!! :D anesthesiaexperts.com/uncate…
