Not too bad just too cold for my bones.

Fred Christ Trump used to yell "Bring me the JEW" - meaning a man named Maurice Krotenberg, who was an alderman in New York City and fought for the rights of blacks to live in Trump's buildings and won. That JEW was my maternal grandfather.

Both benefit from low population and both are not as idyllic as I thought. My first time in New Zealand was in Wellington. I went for a walk. Some kids were drinking beer under a pier. They were all Maori and they were not at all enthusiastic about their homeland.

LOL! I've loved my visits to Australia. I even made it to Perth which I personally liked. New Zealand has better government, but is starting to face climate change and racial issues too.

Oh that neutral place which hates Jews despite them having settled there far before it became a nation? You can keep it. I never felt welcome there.

It's global. Nationalism is the theme of the day and it sucks.

No, by all means you be you! :D
Australia is also a damaged nation - a younger USA in many ways (race, nationalism etc.)

One in six children in New Zealand were being raised in poverty – making New Zealand children 23rd poorest out of 26 rich nations. Native plants, animals and ecosystems are under threat. Changes to vegetation are degrading the soil and water.
It's NZ too my dear. Australia is far worse, but NZ is not the haven it was for some people.

What a kind and lovely response. I get in enough trouble with my governmental attitudes as it is. And since my medical documents now read "Latina" - heading south seems a good choice ;-) I hope you are well!

Since it was a newborn. I am not as impressed as I wish I were. I actually like Tor/Onion. Distributed and encrypted networking with the only truly open source based browser engine left.
