I see a great divide in this nation at least. Blacks are rare in the upper echelons of technology despite being fine candidates. Where I see black women and more diversity is in US government!

That's also personal and professional growth Martine :) You are perfecting your ability to message both with honesty and kindness. I admire that so much!

I'm more colorful now too, and this is one for the history books "People are headlining instead of reading." IMO part of our disrupt these days has to do with illiteracy and ignorance often worn like a badge of honor.

I could have a horse. Don't encourage my ideas :) They take a lot of work and I may not have the physical strength but boy would I love to ride again. Yee-HA. I found Philly easy to get around in. Can you use rideshare for the not public-transport friendly errands?

When that happens to me, I walk away from the computer and go outside or splatter paint or do anything else but. Fresh eyes.

We can do our own, look at the volume of talent here. I like it but inclusion first, IMO including transgender women. But I like it. Let's do it and include a handful of straight white men as tokens. (I'm kidding, I think lol).

Those are excellent wonderings. I'm glad you think deeply about these things as I don't see that as a norm on general public sites.

I have a hard time with most of today's "designs" as they all look alike and behave horribly and do not respond to #a11y tools I use. Not to mention chromium hasn't solved any interop when it comes to a near monoculture browsers. Performance has too much specificity IMO ;-)

Absolutely, especially for seasoned Wikipedia writer(s), we could update and add. What I started doing was search all my work, interview and other bio stuff and saving it for someone else to write and annotate. Get a few real bios going. We are not stubs. We all have worked hard.

I think it was Web Directions North in Vancouver, BC. I think.
You're no stub. A lovely human but no stub. I have no clue who put me on Wikipedia but it's so out of date and doesn't say much about the work I did that actually mattered (at least for a little while haha)

I wish I had the reliability to take a lead on organizing this - it was talked about before where we'd write full bios for someone else and start posting like mad. I would contribute but I am not in a condition to lead anything these days! I always want to feel useful though!

Annnd I just found this wonderful photo. LTR @shawn_slh, the girl formerly known as mollydotcom, and Kelly Goto @gotomedia. #a11y #standards #UX #process - was a different time I remember with great fondness.

I can't fly, so when Nick is done with the guest room, we'll need to find water in Arizona. With these idiots rejecting Climate Change, I may well have oceanfront soon. Just make sure I take hydroxizine before sailing so I don't puke on your pretty new home. ;-) Love you so, xo/m
