Official backup from @eff from my earlier BREAKING. I'm just so certain the current senate will laugh this of as will #FCC. Tell the Senate to get off their predation and back on democratic, of by and for THE PEOPLE ideals #NetNeutrality
Today, the House of Representatives passed the #SaveTheNet Act, which would give the majority of Americans what they want: strong #NetNeutrality protections. It's time to tell the Senate to follow suit! eff.org/deeplinks/2019/04/vi…

Blue Agave, but minor type difference. You get a treat of your choice :)

Brilliant. Now THAT is progress. :D

It's not changed except now it's Frameworks and obfuscation of the declarative.
That to me seems more to the real ideals of Tikkun Olam as I understand them. We serve all, not ourselves alone. I went to an Orthodox Yeshiva and was taught USA was our haven only to grow up and see reality (Ford, IBM...) I hate war machines.

Yay Rabbi, for those who were at that crossroads! I am struggling with synagogues here. I want Interfaith values with Orthodox davening and Choir! Not one Rabbi has written back to my emails. Any ideas? I need code to harmonize. UU did "Challah for Gaza" this weekend.

Tikkun Olam. Yet we break it every day. That's a choice too.
Born in America youtube.com/vJvjDSa6zro Lyrics were written around 30 years ago by pal Michael Forkan, and the video is a work in progress this week. We knew the duplicity was there. Maybe we got complacent? The American Experience of my generation. Tragic beauty.

The Web didn't challenge the World so much as did Social Media. I still use it for social reasons, including policy. But it was never binary. That's poor strategy as there's no checkor balance in 2. That's idealized number. Two in love. Just how does that balance a butter knife?

The measure is no longer trust society. I believed in words so much, and it's true they have incredible power. And their misinterpretation and use, which we all do because it's human and contextual has hurt people. Lies obfuscate, truth reveals. We need new infrastructure design.

People thought I was strong and confident. What I am is loud and opinionated. I also will stand up to social convention. I have always been this. I have tried to change it at others concern. All that's resulting is a stronger resolve to keep #open alive and value #truth not #lies

I wonder if today's #webdev communities are so young they can't remember or weren't born when the NSF held domain names. "What a time it was it was a time of innocence...a time of confidences..." - Simon and Garfunkel Am I just old and grumpy and want these kids off my lawn? ;-)

I still believe we can do good, but the idea that we have to separate out a "Web for Good" from "Web for all." I realize the experiment will continue long after my show is cancelled. I still don't know what to do with Molly dot com but I got it when it was with NSF for free.
Pundit on the news "will there ever be a safe place for the exchange of real information?" Yeah, it's called the World Wide Web. I cried, I admit it. We need human standards is my current working theory. We need ethics and collaborative work, and I'm concerned we can't do either.

Now issues have moved more toward policy, and social media magnates are in hearings answering questions about treason. I expected disruption in the world. I did not expect that.

Perhaps #chromium dominance isn't strange in today's #wedev. I could even imagine an argument that a core standards engine was a logical option for interoperability. Now we have a monoculture with interop fail from browser to browser. It may harmonize timing in implementation?

But history is not accurate, whether by intent or human flaws. Japan, an enemy to the USA in WWII, took in more Jews earlier than we ever did. China did too. We turned away. Ford, IBM, etc worked with the enemy and prospered as a result. But are we taught that? No. D-Day USA!
Dear France, thank you for the pretty statue. Some of us even were alive when you could go to the flame, for the longing of freedom. I'm pretty sure Trump would take that island and say the French have to pay to dismantle Lady Liberty.
Except asking for a Caravan. You ask, you get. People want in before the slats close. Nancy Reagan wanted a war on drugs, we got a war alright. We're in it.
