SO SO true @ShinyToyRobots :D That's called accountability and course-correction in the book of me. Poor impulse control has not helped but over time it's easing up.
I was also one of the earliest public women and did not want to take the mantle just for women. Web to me is all inclusive and remains my ideal. We have tools to block and ignore and mute and whatnot. Fortunately, I'm mostly friendly with streaks of get off my lawn stuff. Age ;-)
Great answer Robin. You seem to have thought a lot about it. I made one truly terrible mistake responding to someone whom I thought was a peer. I welcome hugs of kindness and comfort. Mom was not nurturing and physically distant and I craved affection and attention. Much less now

I'm glad I've been poor and upper middle class. To dine with kings and sleep homeless. I want less and have been downsizing for 2 years. Travel to Norway, Sweden and Japan.
People are inherently biased. Is it possible to have non-biased systems. I asked this in Cultural Anthropology nearly 40 years ago and no one really answers it. The constancy is change, and patterns repeating in chaos.
I have been rewarded in friendships! Love, care, kindness!
One thing about internets is there are more than just one and that's going to grow I think as security is a joke and privacy is very sensitive as we don't really have it anymore.

It's so complicated within the various cultures too. There are Latinos who are pro Trump because they got in the very hard way. We've become immune to insult and . injury at large. Part of my own challenges - I am a futurist whose having a hard time seeing a future! :)

Hmmm. The UK, Australia, Venezuela, Brazil, Russia, North Korea, Israel, Syria, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and others are sure showing off their Nationalistic fear of losing their superior wealth and power. No love can fill these souls, many of them indicted and pardon themselves!

I'd have fought that thought but I have always known the Web would challenge the world view. I was face blind to puppet masters. Little more woke now. Also, this has always gone on, just not so LOUDLY. Cruelty to divide and conquer. I don't play bipartisan it's a zero-sum game.
