I noticed that. When I was working for Vivaldi the driver kept attacking globalists (Jews) and the new world order. It was awful.

I have no party. My country is closed But Twitter is open for all the trolls.

Yeah, I'm moving away from Civil Libertarianism to Social Anarchy at this point. I'm working on keeping my inner Malcom X in check but it's not easy for a reactionary civil rights advocate.

I'm a lib-dem socialist communist loud mouth NY Jew who people think is hetero because I married a man. I'm not and never have identified as "straight." I'm so offended by other people telling me what and who I am. Don't you want the right to self identify?

I'm extremely angry re the "tran ban" in the US military. Whatever moved forward seems to be moving backward. I would have made a hell of a soldier in my youth if I hadn't already chosen peace as my ethic. I like a buffet. I'm Queer as a monkey's ear on a cat. Character is sexy!

I would be happy to put together a presentation about the purpose of the cascade, specificity and related issues. I did try to do this a few months ago but about 4 people expressed interest. I would also be happy to do Skype presentations live-ish if people will actually use it.

That's definitely a factor. Time, confusion, knowledge that spans the evolution of #webdev - what we do is a complicated profession and we don't credit ourselves enough that in 20+ years we created something that can be profoundly useful to humanity when used for good.

Yes, and it changes frequently Ben, adding to the confusion. This is why we need better design thinking and common pathways along with a lot of #open discussion. Iterative processes, understanding the right tool for a given job and so on. Hope you're having a happy 2019 so far!

No doubt a brutal position in which to be. You have all my empathy! But good on you for addressing the problem!
I think it's more than "read up on" - I think it's understanding not just #CSS but the way browsers interpret the cascade.
2
Very true. I'd add it's the entire way the cascade works in #css much less as interpreted by browsers - and therein lies another <LAYER class="pun"> of the problem. It's not anti-CSS IMO so much as abstractionists blurring the connected-but-separate lines of the #Open Web Stack.
I’m convinced 40%+ of the anti-CSS complaining is out of frustration from folks who haven’t actually learned how Specificity works. I wrote CSS for five years before I knew this is a thing I needed to learn. It was @mholzschlag who taught me, at a presentation she gave in NYC.

Vaccinated :) Sorry. I'm high risk for infections so I get vaccinated for a bunch of things as an offset to what my own immune system cannot manage. :D

Better, on my way right now to get my blood tests done. Healthcare ground to a complete halt over the season, now everyone's back. With germs. I got vax'd. :)

New Year, new blood. I put on weight so I should be doing good. Also, I need to have my sanity tested. That's the shorter appointment ;-)
