If coding doesn't feel like typing some stuff in to an editor and then spending hours wondering why the f it doesn't work, you have at least another level to master before calling yourself a programmer.

In mine as well. That book was an absolute Joy to write I learned so much from Dave Shea and all the designers who contributed to that wonderful project. It remains one of the best-selling web design books of all time of which I personally am very proud. Thank you for all you do!

Always a pleasure to get your insights Egor! - I absolutely agree in this era, Frameworks is a HUGE issue that must be tackled. Along with core ideals and understanding of the declarative, which are almost completely absent in the Framework for Everything world.
Fair comment, indeed painting a polarised view does a disservice to the work the community did to understand and share how the web could used and how we should build it in an interoperable and inclusive way.

I would see that as a Task Force within the infrastructure. WaSP was NOT just about web browsers, by the way. I'm a little sad it's remembered that way, especially by such fine and involved designers as yourself. :(

Just as an FYI I was put on hydroxyzine last week in addition to other meds for a short burst to stabilize me and oh my that stuff makes me eat! I mean we're talking I live next to one of the largest legal cannabis distributors in the world and it stopped working. Not anymore 😉
