There needs to be some guidelines and dare I use the term "standards" (heh) in place as well as rotating teams of judges who will determine separately from me (no personal bias) to grant any awards the come from fundraising efforts for crises in our community. What do you think?

Context my friend. This perspective doesn't hold for people diagnosed and struggling with severe limitations. Big difference between living with terminal illness and a somewhat active life. I'm an invalid. I haven't done anything social in in a long time. Or eat . You? #a11y

Not when you've been walking out of hospice and are one of the very few people with a rare condition in living long past your death date. Otherwise yes :-)
Breaks my heart it's not as if it's their money that's our taxes that paid for our own disability insurance when stupid idiot companies wouldn't do it
Oh continue to expect to wait mine lasted longer than that to the point I was living out of my car for a while. They were very good to me but they are incredibly understaffed at the Social Security Administration and can't even get injured soldiers benefits in a timely fashion.
It took two years but today it arrived in the mailbox. My social security disability insurance not SSI. Which leaves me at about half of my regular expected salary I can live on that. What I'm sad over is the classification: "Improvement not expected" and likely to end in death.

Eye of a Storm. AKA weird cloud with an eye following me around yesterday evening. We were supposed to have a big wind storm big dramatic advisories in the morning. Nothing happened by me here except this cloud. I truly think Mother Nature has a beautiful and mean sense of humor!
