Ethics are my value, not money. So I aspire to work toward ideals rather than away from them, lest I never reach the best of my potential. This is a stubborn streak in me that has ultimately ended up making life very interesting if not better. I do like your self-care point, thx!
I love that thought of "humanizing" - it's not anthropomorphizing which is just attribution. It's applying the theory in real-time and that has definitely been largely pushed forward by everyone named and so many more who work in trenches not so much on stages.

While Nicole and I were technically at odds, she made her case for OOCSS so well it drove the W3C's "redesign" back in the mid 2000's or so. Influential and a very fine presenter whom I saw speak @ParisWeb in French no less. Impressive, challenging the common-ideal work indeed.

Wonderful. I always learn from Elika. Whether in the form of CSS specs and a more technical understanding should I wonder about this or that, or in friendship I admire and love her like a sister. Even if it's not the one, it's the one! She's always been "more than meets the ear!"

Each day seems to have light where there were long years of dark. I am grateful for the nutrients that light brings me. Thank you for your kind thoughts and input. I will consider a sale but tend to get porn and MDMA/club offers. I don't care in adultland but I worry ethically.

Thanks Ben! I'll look at offers but I'm thinking about different ideas now as I'm noticing a certain joy arise out of the news. I think that domain is really a huge part of my identity over time and may well start working on a group of stories from our generation for amusement :D

by whom? Let me at 'em. I will give them all my wrath. Let it never be said I don't use my dark side for good. That's your name after all! Grrrr.
You hit the nail on the head emotionally with me there - I started seeing the ".COM" part of the domain as not truthful to my goals. I'm getting less stringent now as sometimes doing the right thing we think of as right at the time changes or we come to see it as not longer true.
I like the fact that there are more of us than mobile interfaces can recall! Women P0wn CSS is gonna be my new mantra (with a few notable exceptions but not nearly as long a list as women of the web) FTW!

I want to hear that - is the transcript or talk video available do ya know Stephen? I'm #lazyweb. Only two sips of coffee in ;-)

It's fascinating but research into color perception must continue - so much more goes into color - physical strength of eye and visual cortex, our cultural backgrounds and adaptations as we move through a world of site and sound. The more we know, the better education potential!
Glad you got @fantasai on this formidable list She is by far the cornerstone of #CSS from a spec standpoint and a lovely human as well. She knows where all the ex - csswg bodies are buried, I like to tell her. It's the truth! lovely Jen. Godmothers, all of us to #css and #webdev

Wow, what an interesting thought Jen! We do learn differently within gender as well. A corollary from research into Color - XY hetero males tend to describe color simplistically. Coral is simply pink. Research leans to learning and behavior as XY alone does not a rainbow make! 😍
Many, if not most, of the great resources for learning CSS were made by women. I can’t help but wonder if that’s why some men struggle with it so much. Long threads arguing about CSS, pointing to subpar tutorials. Too many men simply cannot respect anything created by a woman.

It's life. I'm not in control of what happens, only how I manage it so I manage it as best as I can.

I got donations for the lease which I will now be without. I wasn't using the domain and it helped me. I now live in the hood and am under poverty line as I am disabled with conditions expected to end in death. I had a house and a husband and a mother too, they're all gone now.
