In his spiritual beliefs, Ray viewed the body (as do I) as a vessel. His remains are unimportant. His spirit and energy remain viable.

While he is entitled to a graveside military honoring with Navy chaplain and officers and honoring the flag, we will not be doing that.

I find it fascinating that this is almost exactly similar to what Jews and many tribal people do. We clean, anoint, wrap and bury in 24 hrs.

Ray's body is being washed, anointed in Lavender oil, wrapped in a cotton white sheet only, no embalming and a plain, non-decorative casket.

Today my Ray is being prepared for burial. He was Comanche, Hopi and Scots. Research, help from you all, he will be honored spiritually.
