I agree that HTML5 was a difficult and strange change point in @w3c lifespan/timeline. It's been adrift in many ways since.

WAI, CSS and now SVG wg's are strongest @w3c IMO @iamjolly Help would be on the @vivaldibrowser #a11y story and our implementations for 2017

That's part of the problem. Isolation for 3 years really skewed any measure of what negativity was afoot. I'm still traumatized.
The disconnect between @W3c and #webdevelopment is measurable. I CARE and I want to help repair. Don't attack me. I am passionately sincere!
