Yes, please @feather I'm right here - unless it's for some reason an issue requiring a "frieNDA" as I once heard @tabatkins say. DM if so :)

Our menu offers better tasting and better for you" burgers, fries, hot dogs and a signature chopped salad.
Bottom line is not the bottom line but the profit margin. Also that it is all fun and games until someone gets hurt. #a11y #PeopleOverProfit

Here's some experimentation from @briankardell on "optional media" - nice idea there. Interesting in general - nice work Brian!
Replying to @briankardell
Really, it's more like optional media - I'm using it for images, iframes, videos, etc

Absolutely, Jamie, but that approach is #css. The problem ultimately needs solution that's tech independent. @AmeliasBrain

Thank you Eric! This is a HUGELY important bit of information. Still not software or OS layer which is IMO ultimate, but yes - more of this!
Dunno if I'm telling you what you are already aware of, but: github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/…

THIS! Not core-level in the layout engine though, which I'd really really love as it's a core software or even OS layer IMNSHO.

A #javascript equivalent: if (window.matchMedia('(prefers-reduced-motion)').matches) { /* reduce animation */ } github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/…

Extensions can help. I want to know of any #a11y #ppapi extensions to shut down page-specific animations. @vivaldibrowser prefers native #ux
Yes, this is in my understanding down to most layout engines and #UI features hard-coded. @vivaldibrowser our UI layer is separate and open.
