Seeing my mother's brain come back to life after a year of utterly bizarre and deeply distressing events. She walks wobbly, dances anyway.

Then the thoughts come back. The lesions and wounds get smaller. We see a light, hope. We take the leap of faith, we fall, we get up. Again.

To have no memory of what you did or said for a long period of time is a traumatic experience. Horror at an uncontrolled and unpresent self.
