What's a happy medium? I thought @W3C but that ain't gonna fly, at least I couldn't make it so.

I think it's long past time for Web industry to organize. A union? A professional organization that is OF BY AND FOR us? What do you think?

Thank you. The industry isn't the same nor am I. That I have to seek out a niche at all is evidence of fragmentation.
