That is true in cases. @adrienneleighI just think it's far too easy to THINK we are victims with no power or social capital.
When one stays silent @adrienneleigh the next will get the beating. I'm refusing to be silent because I don't want anyone else to be unsafe.

Some people thought I was still upset over the meme joke. That's not it at all. It's what I'm being told about behavior at industry events.
Here now is my ethical question: If you are told about a crime through back-channel discourse and it could be a falsehood, what do you do?

First and foremost, I suggest if you're back-channeling conversations that involve issues of public safety, that it's not helpful. Speak up?
