Aside from the obnoxious people, travel was smooth and easy. Here with my folks now. Note: I was NOT (for once) amongst the obnoxious!

@redcrew well, I'm glad too because as a result my life is easier! Thank you! And I still want to run an idea past ya btw. I will follow up.

@whitneyq I'm happy I could clarify! Yes, you can use Pablo haha! Ask a geek a question, we can't help it. I'm amazed I did it in 8 tweets!

@canva Thanks goes all to @redcrew - who is a marvel at finding wonderful gems of software. And people. :)

@whitneyq Confusion is because we're talking three discrete techniques: An app (Pablo); and two W3C language specs (SVG, CSS). HTH! (fini!)

@whitneyq SVG is a W3C specified technology that you can use for this kind of text manipulation over an image. Less complex tasks? CSS. (7)
Replying to @whitneyq
@whitneyq The image created in Pablo itself is still binary, and therefore only text accessible via alternative and descriptive text. (6)
Replying to @whitneyq
@whitneyq As such, you end up with two outputs from Pablo: Text embedded on image and ASCII in the textbox. In that context, accessible. (5)
Replying to @whitneyq
@whitneyq With Pablo, text is embedded onto the image (binary) AND generates your text input directly into a Twitter textbox (ascii) (4).
Replying to @whitneyq
@whitneyq In the case of @buffer's Pablo, we're talking a little app with one major purpose, to create a social-network ready image (3).
Replying to @whitneyq
@whitneyq SVG and CSS are ASCII Text formats (non-binary). As such, their information isn't "packaged" and can be readily manipulated. (2)
Replying to @whitneyq
@whitneyq If the file is exported as binary, then yes, theoretically it would be inaccessible without additional info, such as alt text (1).

@facej You aren't alone in that lament, if it's of any comfort. I'm not lamenting as I never used them, many folks I know definitely did.
@rahelab @whitneyq SVG is not in play in Pablo (to my knowledge) but is a great choice to keep 'em separated. Or, CSS for less complex work.
Replying to @whitneyq
@whitneyq @rahelab Pablo is narrow-task software that automates the separation of text input on an image directly into the Twitter textbox.
