@jwajsberg Agreed. Documentation is key, education is key. I don't want a single-engine world, that would be problematic IMO. Coordination.
@jwajsberg The main problem with that is then folks think it's Firefox's fault when it isn't. For a dev, it's deadly to not know browsers!
@jwajsberg And as for making those distinctions regarding support, there is need for far better educational bridges via schools, confs, etc.

@jwajsberg I don't disagree with your point, but I do feel we've reached a better time with a de facto common core and can improve upon it.

@jwajsberg Hahaha. I think of it as Blink containing legacy Webkit. Not the other way around. Maybe I'm just that optimistic? ;-)

@absalomedia Yes, very true. @vivaldibrowser isn't a "webkit" clone. It's more of a hybrid.
@jwajsberg Yes, and variants thereof. Vivaldi is based off Chrome so you do end up with a bit of legacy but the best of Blink, etc.

A de facto "standards core" in #browser engines has helped. We've achieved that via open sourced engines. NOW is the time for competition.

I'm using @vivaldibrowser in dark mode this morning (it's pre-dawn here) and it's even MORE awesome than the light UI.
