Stop calling #HTML5 Elements "semantic" - as HTML5 specification is not accurate English. Call them ELEMENTS. Unless they aren't elements.

IN #HTML5 <div>'s are semantically neutral would be more correct. @stevefaulkner

@tinitun @stevefaulkner use the word "element" - drop semantic.
Before the pain meds kick in and I'm just a bowl of mollymush, let me posit this question: Do two anti patterns make a pattern?

@svgeesus Alas, I took over for you. So glad to hear you're doing much better though! I remember how bad it would get for you at times :/

@svgeesus @glazou @draggett has photos of his original notes - which I still want copies of, we attempted several times to make it so.

@svgeesus Nice to "see" you Chris - how are you? Too long, my friend, too long!

@svgeesus @glazou Is it documented anywhere? And which year of that starter set? I'd love to see that!

@_lance_leonard Interesting question. @SaraSoueidan writes on patterns and anti patterns in CSS and related - may be a good resource there?

And in terms of #javascript #frameworks David's tweet coincides with my own general sense of what really is hazy.

@cwilso @mollydotcom yeah, that isn’t HTML5, it’s evangelists with vested interests in those frameworks promoting them
Replying to @cwilso
@cwilso That's true. I should have written "HTML5 is interpreted by many as being ..." My bad. Far fewer working folk distinguish site/app.

A little more detail on HTML's early emergence from CSS working group co-chair, Daniel Glazman.
Replying to @mholzschlag
@mollydotcom HTML started as a weak SGML dialect strongly influenced by BookMaster, CALS (for tables) and Euromaths (for maths)
