At least this is a nice room. The best thing I can say about the shithole I was in last night is thank goodness for armed guards. Seriously.

The experience of being far removed from daily life by a brutal experience, I want to rejoice. I fear being too hopeful, that's how life is.

Want to feel positive but I have a sense of weight throughout me. From where does such overwhelming exhaustion, self-doubt and fear emerge?

@Nico3333fr Actually, that's absolutely true. I also think there's no Open Web, but we can argue the subtleties if you like :P

Is it worth losing the ideals of the Open Web? Honestly, I want to know what you think. Maybe it is. Maybe the Web is "just" a utility?

The Open Web exists abstractly (as in not a spec to follow), and that is enabling redefinitions of the Web that stray from great ideals.
