@JS_Zao Hopefully, your Mom got a diagnosis and was able to do okay. Rough road either way, my heart goes out to you. Tough on families.

@JS_Zao You do have appreciation. MS is another illness, along with Lupus, that can go for decades undiagnosed or misdiagnosed.

@matbeeDOTcom I'll be okay. As long as you can use a real live kitty cat as fashionable headwear, life is very much livable.

@CharJTF and I imagine metabolic/chem bloodwork along with renal panels to ensure health elsewhere (liver, pancreas, etc.)

@JS_Zao actually, it doesn't. All those Secondaries really should be "Secondary to" and there's a missing part: secondary to chemo x 2. Ha!

@starweaver One issue with medical marijuana for me: I can't get a high enough CBD/CBN extract so inflammatory pain, headaches go unchecked.

@starweaver That's so great to hear. And yes, it is frustrating when you're a legal #mmj patient and can't get or have meds when traveling.

@CharJTF I'm surprised they allow aspirin in your case. I can't touch anything NSAID, hepatotoxic (APAP). Valium? By the truckload!
I will obey the Good Doctor Kaplan (If their names don't start with Good I don't go to them), go to bed and take my pain medication. #zonk

It's like winning a prize you never wanted. You thought you wanted it. You dreamed of it, prayed for it, really aimed for it and got it.

Illness owned me. I began to question my own sanity. There was no empiric data. Who was right? Which reality? MINE! Maybe now I can move on.

Most of you never knew how sick I really was. You never saw the pain until I began overmedicating it (and by then, depression) with alcohol.

Of course I'm mad at the U.S. Medical Industrial Complex. Of course I tweet to death about it. It's dominated my life in many terrible ways.

Was it really better for medicine to blame me instead of treating me like the intelligent young woman I was and simply say "we don't know?"

@adrienneleigh Oh yes, the idiopathic part, so much fun. It means "We're idiots because we can't say WE DON'T KNOW."

My inner teenager is saying "COOOL dude, I get Medical Marijuana for life!" while my outer adult is saying "Shaddup and take your Oxy." #FCK

So the problem now is that medical treatment for Arthritis, which has made great strides (ha), all of it - is prohibited in my case.
They couldn't quantify the Chronic Autoimmune Inflammatory Arthritis part until they were sure that it wasn't just a post-chemo side effect.
When I was 22, I prayed day and night to a god I believed in to have the overwhelming illness diagnosed. Now I have it, and I don't want it.
My tweet with the impossibly long diagnoses translates to "Boy we fucked up when we diagnosed CFS, Depression and Maladaptivity for 30 yrs."
