Replying to @TomGreen
@TomGreen Kinda feels like it, but why am I singing the same old song? I guess someone's gotta, Mr. Green ;-)
Replying to @Chasapple
@Chasapple Yes. My point in a way. If you don't write a clear sentence - the logic won't execute on the recipient's end. Communication fail!
@jdeisenberg Lisp? I say we knock it all down and go Fortran. Note that 3/4 of webdev's have no idea what we greybeards are going on about!
Replying to @Nico3333fr
@Nico3333fr Alas, public complaining doesn't come with a paycheck or benefits. Too bad - I'd have it made ;-)
Replying to @dstorey
@dstorey I'll apologize but only to you, Mr. Tomorrow is my birthday! And today's is Jon's - a coincidence I don't remember noticing before.

Semantics matter. There is precious little meaning in HTML. We came so close to a clean stack. We rushed, failing our own design principles.

The Web and The Internet are distinct. Words always matter. We're trying to build strong tech stacks on a foundation we can't define?

Seriously, people think the Internet is the Web and don't differentiate. This includes THE PEOPLE WHO BUILD THE WEB. Words don't matter?

@jdeisenberg We're way past bloated and into full-on metastatic growth, I fear. Always fun to wake up and find your solution is the problem!
Replying to @TucsonNewsTruth
@TucsonNewsTrash Trollshit. It looks and smells an awful lot like bullshit - easy enough mistake ;-)

@jdeisenberg HOW did I never see those? That's hilarity to the infinite power! Still wrong. That's the WEB. Not the Internet *cough, cough*
If I'd seen what I see when I view source today back in 1993? I'd be a grandma on a commune pontificating about chickens and eggs. #whatAweb

@StephenOrr1981 It's an odd feeling to be of the "greats" because I'm just me and I need lifelong learning and growth as much as anyone!
Replying to @alexwolfe
@alexwolfe I appreciate it. I am SO ready at times to be back in the thick of it - I loved my career and don't like thinking it's behind me!

Replying to @morbital
@morbital I KNOW! Github is a lifelong study of itself! What have we done! haha
@jdeisenberg That's what I hear! But, you're incorrect. I could use the same to describe a few cheese shops I've been in ;-)
Replying to @morbital
@morbital I think everyone who has been working at it for a time feels that way. Go away for 2 years and woah! It's scary fast. Too fast.
Replying to @alexwolfe
@alexwolfe Dunno about you, but the field picked me! I was working on gopher resources from the command line. :)
