Thank you! @WebQ2 - with all the horror going on in the world, that blood donation could save a child's life. Healthy folks who can, should.

Many of these medications truly are remarkable science. That part really interests me as a human, not just a patient.

No white cells, so we get to add weekly shots of Neupogen (stuff is brutal). I was taking them on as needed. This med is 1000.00 a month.

Regarding the world I humbly suggest: "C'mon people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together, try to love one another right now!"

@scatteredbrainV Suffice it to say there's nothing easy or pretty about consuming poison. With each dose the worse I feel. Six months to go.

@CharJTF Good advice. I'm on a 4:30/4:30 schedule for most of my meds. I'm a day sleeper, always up at this time unless really, really sick.
May the treatment commence! I hardly could sleep with my meds right here and not allowed to take it 'til morning. 4:30 *is* morning, right?

@stefsull Not crazy. Same thing - profit first. Poor doggie. :(
Rant from @realjohngreen on the economics of US health care - fascinating: upworthy.com/his-first-4-sen…

@jegtnes Kittens! Thanks Alex, you're a gem.
It's a fascinating story of all that is wrong with US Healthcare, and you bet I'll be writing about it in detail over time. @jillyrocket

Yes. Even capitalists are balking at the profit margins. I'm not disclosing anything 'til after I get all my meds. Just sayin'

@stevens_phil Tis 6 month multi-pill/shot series. Right now they've got me poking needles full of neupogen into my belly. Stuff is rough.

@smiffy hahaha. Just don't gild a Lily for me, k? ;)
At 28k a month for six months per patient, the drug co. should provide regular massage, gentle yoga, nutritional and psychological support!
