@parenteau Never saw Tom Waits live - I imagine it best in a smoky dive bar with cheap bourbon ;)

@pameladyer Went to school in Athens then? Ever see Indigo Girls? What about any others from that time/scene?

@pameladyer I consider myself a selective REM fan. Certain songs/albums are great. Others, not as much.

Talk about flashbacks: Thinking about Rocky Horror when I was 17 and got drunk on Southern Comfort. EWWWWW. Never touched the stuff again.

@JoeManna yeah, I was way into it. Of course, I've always been a bit outgoing. Just a bit ;) Such good times.

@SailorjX They won't let us go. It's fruitless. Well, eggless. Sad to have when people right next door need and I can't give. Not cool.

@pwcc I have had my hair long for most of my life save for 13 when I had to have it cut due to an injury and once again for 2 years at 32ish

@SailorjX Of course. Wait 'til I find the polaroid of me at 17 as Magenta. I'd have done me. (oh, wait . . .) ;)

Damn, I gotta stop this walk down memory lane. I haven't even made it to the late 80's! I am so fortunate to have seen so many greats live!
2
Sweet Honey in the Rock ("thirty days in the hole "), Springsteen (at someone's house, not fun) The Animals, JJ Cale, Stevie Ray Vaughan
More live: Crosby, Stills, Nash (no Young), Stevie Nicks (No Fleetwood), Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, Boston, Santana, Pete Seger, Odetta . .

@JoeManna It was definitely a time/place thing in the 70s. The attraction was not just the wildness of the movie, but the live interactions.

And right around the late 70s, The Rocky Horror Picture show became my weekly night out. Guess who I went dressed as?

Best stage presence has to go to Zappa, closely followed by Belew. For pure funnery: B52's and the Tubes - hilarious performers all.

Let's see, other bands I've seen: Pink Floyd, B-52's, Bob Dylan, too Many Grateful Dead shows to count, Frank Zappa. Lots of others.

@meyerweb Funny you should mention @alyankovic - my friends Katie and Scott were over visiting earlier today and they were saying the same!
But I'm not imagining it, at least. I was starting to worry if one of my last 50 brain cells was about to give up on me.
I just figured out the auditory southern rock/country pop not hallucinations. I can only hear it when the air conditioner is on! Weird, huh?

@supersmiley456 HA! Bowie boo'd off stage for NIN? Bad mix, methinks. Both are way too individualistic to put together IMO.

@supersmiley456 No, but she could allow for a means to bring eggs to Mexico. She's just too busy to give a shit.
