Work with CSS GCPM a bit @johnfoliot I found it extremely helpful to clarify multiple presentation surfaces and complex generated content.
The main issue @johnfoliot is don't break what's fixed. There are far greater concerns in webev IMO than poor use of Generated Content.
Oh, I have no illusions on the difficulties involved @johnfoliot - you should know me (and my long work in this area) better than that.
