@MMichel76 Moar January babies! We rock mighty. You'd be the 30th?

@tobyx I know, I have my own weird rhythms. I seem to get up a lot at 4:00 a.m. for some reason. :: shrug ::
Replying to @tobyx
@tobyx They were yum the first night. It was the "leftover" part where something went awry. I'm not super ill. Just blechy.

@juliancheal - wshew, I thought I was going to get the raw end of this deal. ;)
Replying to @timharbour
@timharbour No way! Awesome :) We are rare birds. Lots of 24ths and 26ths I've met, but the 25 is magic, would you agree?

@tobyx I am. And after eating those bad leftover dumplings, home is the only suitable place for poor old me ;)

@juliancheal I think that's a great idea. Do I get to spend 10 quid or 10 dollars? (It matters a little) ;)

@timharbour Yep, 25th :) Why, are you a January baby too?

OMG it's four days until my birthday. What are you all getting me? :)

Note to self: Leftover Chinese dumplings may not a happy tummy make. Other note to self: Hydration is required when gastroenteritis ensues.
Interoperability is not a question but an intrinsic requirement of the Web. Profit can be found quite successfully elsewhere. #openweb

@mikecane I'd take corporate culture into account. Apple was *never* a WEB company. They build beautiful luxurious tech. It's what they do.
@mikecane Yes. HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The print control remains limited. In 1 year or so we'll have it all in HTML/CSS without script!
@mikecane What was the question, exactly? I don't have many answers. I am very dedicated to the fundamental integrity of our infrastructure.

That's the point of open standards, @GrkStav. Part of the time consumption is wrapped up in the patent exclusion process. #w3c #web #openweb

Interop takes time. Device/OS dev almost always gets to market first. Which is more important for the Web's long-term integrity & viability?
Look at CSS3 Modules for Paged Media, GCPM and related topics (multicol) etc. Leaders, footnotes, pagination, widow and orphan control etc.

@mikecane No, I just commented in stark clear terms :)
I strongly oppose the ongoing fragmentation of the Web being caused by device-specific apps, tools & processes. #interoperability #openweb

There are rich, cross-platform Open Web Technologies emerging that solve many publishing issues using HTML and CSS. Reusable, interoperable.
