@aral It warms the cockles o' my heart to know you still hold those ideals true. I recognized the depth of your empathy when we first met.
@aral Not that I mind being thought of as gay. I could care less what people think of my sexuality or lack thereof. I just hate the haters.

@aral I run into a similar issue. Female supports gay rights? She's gay. Supports women's rights? gay. Female with opinions? Definitely gay.

My days as a gun-slinging standardista are long gone, @nessthehero. I have chosen a more peaceful path. And yelling is more annoying anyway.
I know! It's Vegas. I'll dress as a showgirl and keep a straight face while teaching tech. Yo @brucel where's that glittery bit I lent you?

But insofar as topics, everything mentioned thus far is well-covered, believe me. I'm seeking an extra spark of some sort for this event.

I recommend the modular method to speakers/authors if you're not already doing it. Easier to manage, update, modify and customize materials.

I'm thinking of building the workshop in modules. I've done this in the past and it works great: HTML5 Media Module, Semantics Module, etc.
@iandevlin It's a perfect opportunity to mention something to your editors - start a dialog (after your book(s) are out the door of course!)

@Littlemad I will take a look at it and give some thoughts later, sound fair?

@iandevlin I'm just saying to be aware. Not a criticism. If we really boycotted every supporter of #sopa I'm afraid the world would stop!
@denniserny And you just announced it all over Twitter. Thanks for that. You KNOW a girl likes to keep her youth magic secret ;)
So glad I'm working with O'Reilly. Won't find them playing that game. Here's a toast to #open! (ooh, toast . . . it is breakfast time).

Writers/readers be aware! Almost every major publisher in the US (unsure about Pearson, they're Brits, someone check pls?) supports #SOPA.

@denniserny I am convinced after 20 years of international travel that I have, in fact, transcended time ;)

@_dte We've done a few already, here at my house. One year we even had a visit from @stefsull and @teleject - we had so much fun!

@mariaforsberg I'll send you the *best* Margarita recipe ever ;)

It's truly damned scary who's supporting #SOPA. We've come to a clarifying moment for the relationship between "ownership" and "brand"

@ScreenOrigami I don't find thinking about death morbid at all. I'm simply concerned about the pragmatics of it all! :)

@_dte I wish! I'm curtailing travel this year due to health issues (ear pain much? I'll tell you a story) so doing more local/regional stuff
