@codepo8 It's informal information gathering. Since when are you so critical, Christian? Live and let live, am I harming you in some way?
Replying to @karlbright
@karlbright Via torrents to Perth. Since it's distributed, it might not be as hot as you'd like. And you're right. It is spellED Barista ;)

@codepo8 I'm not sure where I gave the impression where I was "moaning" - I'm not. I'm just positing, discussing. So-crates FTW dude!

@codepo8 Both are critical and necessary, and I admire your passion for the Now and the future. Educators need the same respect.
Replying to @codepo8
@codepo8 Both serve a role. I'm more academic than you are. I teach, and real teaching requires analysis and history. You advocate the now.
Replying to @MattWilcox
@MattWilcox @StuRobson I totally agree. CSS, and computers themselves, are fundamentally flawed in re: true typography. ;)

@Littlemad Me gustaría saber los métodos que utiliza la gente para cambiar el tamaño de texto. ¿Qué método prefieres?

@Littlemad Basic settings, IOW, sizing of H1 in relation to H2, sizing of p in relation to sizing of any inline elements within the p etc.

@codepo8 What do you think of my hypothesis that suggests that resizing should be in the UA or OS?

IMO, the zoom feature that @Opera implemented years ago and other browsers have now added is really where font sizing control should reside.

I believe the problems with font-sizing exist because it shouldn't be up to designers/devs to calculate sizes beyond relational ones.

It's interesting how the practices with font sizing change so radically over the years. IMO the constant adaptation is indicative of a flaw.

@csswizardry Nice article, Harry. I really like the analogy you cite of tv volume and font size. SO gonna use that quote in classes.

WebFolk TwitterPoll: What is your current preferred method of font sizing? #stillAnIssue #css #fonts

Okay, let's have some industry chat, as I need to get motivated to do some writing this week. See upcoming poll tweet.

@BarryCarlyon There's also the needle-straight-to-the-heart method (a la' Pulp Fiction) if you prefer.

@localheinz I like that. It's going to be my new life saying. Instead of "carpe diem" it's now "crema 'til the end!"
