@vanderwal I do a lot of enterprise, .gov, .edu stuff so I'm right with ya. Large systems, lots of complexity, lack of good project mgrs.

@daz_angie I've been lucky. There's been much devastation and death and earthquakes are no joking matter. Sleeping through them kind of is.

@vanderwal That is a powerful statement, and one I feel a lot too. At dinner with Jared and Dana the other night, the sentiment carried.

Just for the record kids: The earth moves constantly. It's also not flat, in case you weren't sure.

@daz_angie Like the one I just slept through? LOL! I slept through one once in San Francisco, and it was like a 5.2.

@tekhelet @mijadedios The simple answer is "Yes" because the earth quakes everywhere. We measure startin at 1.0 magnitude for a reason.

Now to say a proper hello. Hello! It's a lovely morning here in California, I'm having a cup of tea and plan on a write/sleep day. And you?

@vanderwal Well, apparently we've visited each other by proxy, but it still doesn't make it quite F2F, which has been a while for us!

You can track earthquakes worldwide in real time here: earthquake.usgs.gov/ @tekhelet @mijadedios

@tekhelet @mijadedios The AZ earthquake you're worried about was a 3.5 magnitude. I just slept through a 3.1 one here and didn't even know.

@tekhelet @mijadedios I will say this, I'd be happier if we were having this quake conversation while I was in AZ than CA, where I am now ;)

@tekhelet @mijadedios the earth moves everywhere, all the time. AZ tends to be fairly stable, though we'll shake a bit with Mexico or Cali.
Okay, dinner is served, and I am off the grid for now. xoxoMolsLovesYouAll

@vanderwal I ran into @beep at Logan on his way back from #AEA. It would have really been over the top had I run into you at SJC! :)

I'm gonna eat me a burger, get into my jacuzzi bath (thank you, point upgrades!) and then sleep. A lot. Those at #occupy events, stay safe!
Caught major headwinds and were to be rerouted to SLC for fuel. We didn't. Just ended up being a really long flight. Hello California!
At BOS on my way to SJC. Do you know the way to San Jose? I sure hope the pilot does! This was a great visit. Thank you, Boston, you rock.
