To put it into perspective, 775.00 is only 50.00 less than my monthly mortgage payments on a townhome / @jwajsberg

@frankjonen Well, I am sympathetic to the private versus state issues but when you have NO NATIONAL HEALTH CARE it seems less dramatic.

@jwajsberg By me personally. "Individual" insurance.

Replying to @frankjonen
@frankjonen that's the level of care we get when we pay for it privately.

Leaving is another option, @foamcow. But I have an aging mother close by and that's an issue.
Replying to @frankjonen
@frankjonen at least they HAVE it. I've been treated in countries with National Health Care. The treatment is essentially the same.

@jwajsberg Unless I go to work full-time for a company again or find a way to pay 775.00 a month for basic coverage.

Most people don't even have that option. What a sad state of affairs. I'm very depressed about this.

The point is, I have a disability. Because of that, that puts me in a position where I can get full care but I can't work if I do that.

@frankjonen That's almost as much as I pay for my mortgage, btw. And that's only basic coverage.
Replying to @frankjonen
@frankjonen yes, for 775.00 a month.

@johnoxton @leepowell - the point is if I continue to freelance, I have to figure out a way to pay 775.00 a MONTH for basic medical care.
2
So because I have been an independent, working person with some integrity I get sentenced to no medical care? What the fuck is that?

Do you know I could receive disability income, medicaid, state medical insurance, food and housing stipends if I just stopped working?

Isn't it wonderful to know you're cheaper when you're dead. Sometimes I fool myself into thinking life has real value.

Under COBRA, my monthly payments for medical insurance are now 775.00 USD. I can sell my house and rent a shack or have no health care.

@FullCreamMilk mementos. Mementoes sounds like something a serial killer would keep as trophies!

@BoltClock I have Ben and Jerry's Fudge Brownie ice cream. Here's a bowl. If this doesn't help, we're both doomed.
