@robwinters I know. I'm probably guilty of same too. :(

@NickFitz HTTP is the hypertext protocol. It's failsafe. HTTP alone does not make the Web.

Once again, I'm not saying that device specific dev/design is wrong, bad, or anything. Just let's stop calling it "Web development"

@jamesrwhite Ah. I'm concerned about the proliferation of false information and inadequate education, James. @richquick

And when I mean educators, I mean individuals, colleges, universities, trainers, W3C all of you and most of all me #education #fail #openweb

What I find most ironic is that someone still has to be reminding devs of WHAT THE WEB IS. We educators have failed, failed, FAILED.

@NickFitz Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your precise thinking.

Have you ever asked for a spoon when you really needed a fork? @jamesrwhite

@jamesrwhite Yes, I think you may just be unfamiliar with my work. That's all - put into context you'll understand my passions a bit more :)

Replying to @edaross
@edaross And not just CERN btw, across all kinds of research facilities. Remember, we already had the Internet ;)
Replying to @edaross
@edaross Yes, Ed. That's exactly, exactly, exactly my point.
I'm not anti-device development people. I get it. I've been at this a long time. What I'm saying is let's not call it Web development.

@sarahebourne No police! But we can join hands and sing, "we are the world, we're the web children.." okay, too goofy.
Replying to @aexmo
I mean anything that's build for a specific platform or device, @aexmo. That is not Web development.
