HTML solved the content+hypertext issue. This is key. This is also key because it created a platform for open data. @quickzen

@kplawver the key piece is hypertext, Kevin. That's the important message. Try having to re-educate an entire generation. I'm sick of it.
If you really want to simplify HTML into accurate terms, the focus would be on LINKING DATA via the anchor element.
