Open Web does not mean fragmentation. It means integration, interoperability. Across platform. Device. User ability/disability. Language.

@kmno2168 "walled garden" means "closed environments" a la' Apple iPad. Vendor-lock-in. Can't buy or use any non-"approved" stuff.
Our once grand, unified theory (yes, the Web was built by Physicists) is now a fragmentation of ideas with little to no interoperability.
